Ampler Challenge 2019
Production: Piupau
Role: Director, Cinematographer, Editor

A branded documentary project, following 4 cyclists on their journey using Ampler electric bikes.

Andrew, our fourth Ampler Challenge participant, has finished his 1000 km ride on the 10-speed Ampler Curt e-bike in Scotland!
Andrew cycled from Morpeth in the UK to Iona in Scotland and back, covering 1000 km in 7 days. His selected route was a tour through beautiful Scottish landscapes leading to Iona – a peaceful small island that has so many emotions and so much meaning for him.
Despite heavy rain and strong wind, Andrew’s average riding speed was 20 km/h and he covered around 100 km on a single charge. As Andrew says, “The Curt proved to be quite at home on a long ride and I ended each day feeling surprisingly refreshed. It is very agile, responsive and can be hurled around with real confidence. Despite having some of the worst extremes of wind and rain for almost 3 solid days, the bike never missed a beat. It is as reliable a bike one could ever wish for and I never felt as if it was out of its depth in terms of abilities.”
With this challenge, Andrew got to make a return trip to Iona and inspire others to use cycling on the vast open roads for dealing with personal loss and difficult times.
